Portland Trailblazers have ended the 2018 NBA Summer League as champions after triumphing over Los Angeles Lakers in the final game.
While Ghana’s Amida Brimah did not participate in the latter stages of the competition due to San Antonio Spurs exit at the preliminary stage, he had a decent run in the preseason competition.
The former University of Connecticut Captain topped all players from the 2014 National College Champions at the just ended Summer League.
Brimah played in eight games at the Utah and Las Vegas Summer Leagues respectively averaging six points, seven rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game in three games in Utah.
In Las Vegas, Amida averaged 4.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and two blocks and his best performance was against eventual winners Portland where he recorded nine points, nine rebounds and two blocks.
Other past Connecticut players who participated in the league included Rodney Purvis, Terry Larrier and Daniel Hamilton.
Purvis has since signed on a short term contract with Orlando Magic. Brimah is hoping to sign for Spurs main team.
