Ghana’s Wheelchair Basketball Federation has expressed its gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the successful Republic Day Competition via National Media Coordinator Sandy Asiedu.
The one day tournament held in the nation’s Volta Regional capital Ho, had a select side from Brong-Ahafo Region clinch the title.
The winning side nicknamed “Eagle Shooters” won the ultimate trophy ahead of Ashanti, Greater Accra and Northern Regions respectively.
In the aftermath of the well organized program, Asiedu communicated the Federation’s gratitude officially to Basketballghana.com stating:
“On behalf of the Ghana Wheelchair Basketball Federation, I thank all partners including the media on the successful organization of the event. Special appreciation goes to regional coordinators Ampofo Junior, James Gunu, Victor Agbelengor and Regional Federation Secretary Fred Kofi Mensah Duhoe.”
The just ended event was the maiden edition which intends to create more avenues for players to stay in shape. BA won gold following a 26-18 win over Greater Accra.
Ashanti Region placed second courtesy a 21-15 win over Northern Region.
