Ghana Police Service and Tema Youth have concluded the latest round of games in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) with respective wins.
The last pair of games was played out at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu and had Police secure a 55-51 win over Reformers of Prisons in the Women’s Division.
In the Men’s Division I, Tema Youth clinched a 60-54 win over Tudu Magic in a closely contested game after Police’s contest.
Police’s win ensures the team remains the sole unbeaten side in the female division this season with the team recording eight wins in as many appearances.
With 16 points, Police leads the division four points clear of closest and biggest rival Braves of Customs; Braves are the defending champions.
Customs have however played a game fewer than Police and a win will push the team’s point tally to 14 while closing the gap on the leaders.
Losing to Tema is Magic’s fifth loss this season tying its win share in 10 games; Tema ranks fourth with Magic in sixth place.
