Ghana Fire Service had not competed in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Second Round prior to the latest round played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
The team featured in the latter round for the first time against Tudu Galaxy and made a winning start to on its return.
Fire recorded a 44-26 win over Galaxy for its third win in the season in six games moving the team’s point tally to nine.
However, the team’s position will remain in the bottom half of the six team standings as it move up to fourth from fifth place.
Fire displaces Dunk and ties Reformers of Prisons nine point mark; Prisons will be involved in a big game against Ghana Police Service later tonight.
In the Men’s Division, DC Dynamics poor season continues as Police beat them 71-43 in the aftermath of Fire’s win at the same venue.
Dynamics are without a win in 11 appearances this season and sit at the bottom of the standings; Police is second.
