San Antonio Spurs will not feature in the next round of this year’s NBA Summer League in Las Vegas following the team’s exit from the competition.
Spurs lost 75-83 to Milwaukee Bucks early this morning in what turned out to be the former’s final appearance in the preseason tournament.
Losing to Bucks dropped Spurs record to a win and three losses in four games and 27th in the 30 team standings; all NBA teams are competing in this year’s edition for the first time.
Prior to the loss, Spurs had missed out wins in games against Indiana Pacers and Portland Trailblazers with its only win coming against Washington Wizards.
On the other hand, Milwaukee has qualified to the next stage and is set to play Philadelphia Sixers later this weekend. This year’s competition ends on July 17.
This means Ghana’s Amida Brimah will not participate in the competition any longer despite blocking his way to prominence in the loss to Milwaukee.
Brimah blocked six shots, gathered eight rebounds and scored four points.
