San Antonio Spurs has completed its participation in this year’s Utah Summer League after three days of competition in the first of two preseason competitions mainly for first and second year players.
Spurs ended on a winning note recording a 94-87 win over Memphis Grizzlies with Ghana’s Amida Brimah putting in a low key performance on the night.
The 6 foot 11 defender registered one point,rebound, steal, assist and block respectively in 10 minutes of play off the bench in his team’s win.
The win is Spurs second in three games played in Utah following a loss to Utah Jazz and a win over Atlanta Hawks in the previous games.
Spurs will be back in action on Saturday July 7 this time in the Las Vegas Summer League; San Antonio’s opening game is against Indiana Pacers.
The team then plays against Washington Wizards and Portland Trailblazers in the subsequent games in the mini tournament’s preliminary round.
Brimah attempted no field goal against Memphis and scored one of two free throws; Grizzlies fourth overall pick Jaren Jackson Jnr. played 26 minutes and registered eight points and four rebounds.
