Ghana Center Amida Brimah is set to feature in the NBA Summer League for the second time in his professional career this week.

The 6 foot 11 inch Center has been named to San Antonio Spurs roster to play in the preseason competition largely reserved for first and second year NBA players and overseas talents looking to win an NBA roster spot.

Spurs will play in the Utah and Las Vegas Summer Leagues this month with the Utah League tipping off later tonight.

San Antonio plays home side Utah and Brimah-a former University of Connecticut Captain- is expected to play extensive minutes.

Amida played in last year’s Summer League for Chicago Bulls but found his minutes very limited behind high draft pick Lauri Markkanen.

Following the departure of French Center Joffrey Lauvergne, the backup spot on Spurs main team is up for grabs and a string of impressive performances could land Brimah the spot behind Pau Gasol.

Players from San Antonio’s Gatorade League affiliate-Austin Spurs- including Point Guard Derrick White will feature tonight.
