Attention is heavily directed at Tema Youth’s game against Braves of Customs in Week 8 of the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I this weekend.
The big one tips off at the Prisons Court in Cantonments, Accra. However, the opening tie of the round has Tudu Magic going up against Adenta Leopards at 18:00 GMT at the same venue.
Magic has been experiencing up and down performances recently in the league as the team’s 66-53 win over Fire Service has been sandwiched by 40-46 and 55-56 losses to Ghana Police and Tema Youth respectively.
Magic blew a ten point lead (45-55) with three minutes left in the final quarter against Tema to lose by a point. Shooting Guard Kent Fosu scored the winning basket from the free throw line with two seconds remaining.
The Tudu side comes up against an Adenta side riding high on a four game winning streak that includes an 88-79 win over Reformers of Prisons at the Aviation Social Center in Week 7’s final game.
After letting a winnable game slip, Magic will be hoping for a bounce back win against division leaders Leopards.
