Ghana Wheelchair Basketball Federation General Secretary Wilson Agbasi has called for support from the general public to aid the Federation carry out its programs.

He made the statement during his appearance on Morning Show “Head Start” on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports earlier today.

His statement mirrors those of Federation President Max Vardon during the inauguration of the Greater Accra Regional chapter over the weekend.

The regional chapter was inaugurated on during Ghana’s celebration of Africa Union Day over the past weekend; the event was held at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Speaking on the show, Agbasi called on corporate bodies to help the federation stating, “we call on corporate Ghana to help us”.

Ghana’s Wheelchair Basketball Team-Black Chariots- have not honored several competitions due to chronic shortage of funds including last year’s participation in the African Championship in South Africa.

Missing out on the competition ruled Ghana out of the running for a place at this year’s World Cup in Germany.

The National Republic Day Cup will be held on July 1.
