Despite recording losses in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I and Women’s Division, Tudu Magic and Tudu Galaxy forms contrasted in the respective losses.
In Week 7 of the 2018 season, Tudu Magic lost 55-56 to Tema Youth while Galaxy lost 36-42 to Ghana Police in the female division at the Prisons Court in Cantonments.
Galaxy was six points short of clinching a big comeback against the strong Police side after falling behind 6-28 in the first half.
The side recovered from the poor start to lead the remaining quarters including a 12-9 third quarter lead but the deficit proved too big to erase.
The win maintains Police’s winning streak which stands at four and put the side at the top of the standings. Galaxy drops to last place in the standings with a win in five games.
In the Men’s Division, Magic let a 55-45 lead slip with three minutes remaining in the final quarter to lose by one point to a shorthanded Tema Youth side who had six players available.
