Nungua Coldstore has emerged winners of the BetWay Basketball Tournament held at the Takoradi Technical University in Ghana’s Western Regional capital, Sekondi-Takoradi.

The competition, organized by betting firm Betway, had teams from several districts in the West African nation participate.

Oil City Dragons represented the host city while the likes of Hoops represented Cape-Coast in the competition. Other teams that featured included Dark Elite, Dream Academy, EEFF-ESS and Bikat.

However, none of the teams matched Coldstore’s immense talent depth and technical direction from Coach and Team Manager Wendell Otoo.

Coldstore breezed through the stages and ended up with the title. By winning the competition, Coldstore took home the giant gold trophy at stake and GHC 2,500 cash prize plus assorted items from BetWay.

On the individual end, the team represented heavily on the podium as Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff was named Most Valuable Player of the competition.

Combo Guard Taufic Larry won the Three Point Shooting Contest. Coldstore won the Tema Community Basketball League in 2016.
