Tema Youth Basketball Club’s sensational run in recent weeks in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Division I continues after the team clinched another big win earlier tonight.

The team piped Tudu Magic 56-55 after storming back from a 45-55 deficit with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Turnovers cost Magic late in the game as Josiah Karikari and Brian kwami forced Sulley Abubakar to turnover the ball. Kent Fosu gathered the loose ball but got fouled as he drove to the basket with three seconds left.

Fosu scored two free throws to seal the comeback and clinch its third straight win playing undermanned. Tema beat Reformers of Prisons and Navy Warriors with just five players and beat Magic a few minutes ago with six players.

Magic led 45-40 with 6:42 left in final quarter. Ibrahim Mohammed dished a beautiful pass to assist an Evans Anfom layup. Brian Kwami connected a corner three pointer before Kent Fosu drained a jump shot as both teams traded shots.

Emmanuel Lamptey scored a jumper from the free throw line after beautiful ball movement from Magic before Anfom scored a fastbreak layup to extend lead to 55-45.

Fosu then delivered a deadly crossover on Sulley Abubakar and scored to spark a five point run and trimmed deficit to 54-55 with 20 seconds left.

Fosu got fouled with 3 seconds left after Tema forced a Magic turnover. He sank both free throws to seal a sensational 56-55 win.
