The 2018 Tema Basketball League season continues to string along just fine and over the weekend, Week 7 games were concluded at the Tema Community 4 Court.
In the opening game, Tema Heat secured a straight forward win over bottom side Tema Rockets via a 43-25 result.
The loss keeps Rockets winless so far this season and rooted to the base of the ten team standings; Rockets chances of making the postseason continues to dwindle.
Nungua Coldstore rode a strong showing in the final quarter to beat pesky side Teshie Rangers 57-45. Coldstore won the quarter with a 21-9 result which was pivotal in deciding the final result of the game.
The win maintains Coldstore’s winning run in the season and following Ashaiman Lions loss in the round, Nungua remains the only unbeaten side in the league.
Tema Community 2 has been in fine form lately and clinched a 56-42 win over Akatsi Rifles in a physical game that a few skirmishes between players from either side.
The final game was a rematch of the 2017 League final but the contest did not end as expected following Lions decision to abandon its tie against Tema Community 4.
League champions C4 led 25-22 in the third quarter prior to forfeiture. Here is a rundown of scores recorded in the seventh round:
