Seven weeks into the 2018 Tema Basketball league season, Nungua Coldstore remains the only side yet to be beaten this season.
The 2016 League Champions are having another standout regular season after doing same in previous campaigns since the league commenced a couple of years back.
Coldstore beat Teshie Rangers 57-45 to extend its winning streak to five; the team have been involved in five games this season and won all.
Nungua were made to sweat for the win as Rangers battled hard and only a big 21-9 fourth quarter showing got Coldstore in the clear.
Both teams poured in 17 points in the second quarter after a low scoring first quarter in the second of four games played this past weekend.
Bitter rival Ashaiman Lions controversial loss to defending league champions Tema Community 4 ensured Coldstore exclusively holds the league’s flawless run.
Lions forfeited its game by abandoning the match in the third quarter as they registered their displeasure with calls from game officials. Heading to the round Lions and Coldstore were the only unbeaten sides in the league.
