Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division games set to be played earlier tonight have been canceled due to persistent rain.
Games between Ghana Police and Braves of Customs and Reformers of Prisons and Dunks Club have been affected by the weather.
Both fixtures were to be honored at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu in the 2018 campaign’s sixth week but neither fixture was played.
Heavy rains, expected at this time of the year, affected most parts of Ghana’s capital, Accra including Tudu and the league venue.
The playing surface, which is in a terrible state, got easily flooded by the torrential downpour making playing on it impossible.
Management has had to cancel the games and postpone them to a yet to be known date later on this season’s calendar.
The cancellation prevented fans from seeing the only unbeaten teams in the league, Braves and Police, face off this afternoon.
The pair and Reformers are tied on six points in the standings while Dunks have three points from three games.
