Nungua Warehouse Company has taken care of finances in giving the Tema Community 4 Basketball Court a major face lift.
The company through Chief Operating Officer Wendell Otoo has provided funds to repaint the playing surface of the edifice in Ghana’s major port city.
The organization was recently presented with the Golden Award for Quality and Business Prestige by the Global Trade Leaders’ Club.
The court has for several years been the main basketball heartbeat providing the early platform for several talented Ghana players.
Popularly known as the Chinese Court, the court has served as venue for Tema Basketball League games since the league’s inception in 2016.
The league is in its third season and has had home side Community 4 and Nungua Cldstore win the previous campaigns.
Funding the court’s repainting is the latest contribution from Nungua Warehouse Limited after bankrolling league outfit Coldstore.
Coldstore won the inaugural league season and has won several preseason titles since then; the team last won the Battle Grounds competition.
The Chinese Court has been improved in recent years as 2016 Tema West Member of Parliament Aspirant for New Democratic Congress, Ebi Bright, provided standard lighting and painted the surface a couple of years back.
