Ghana Fire Service will not be in action on Thursday May 17 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu in upcoming matches in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division.
The team leads the league standings with seven points; three teams follow with six points heading to Week 6 in the 2018 campaign.
Fire’s last appearance in the league was in Week 5 against Tudu Galaxy; Fire beat 45-38 in Week 5 games to move to the top of the standings.
In five games, Fire has two wins and has played more games than any team in the division; Ghana Police, Braves of Customs and Dunks Club have played the least number of games (three).
Fire will be absent in the list of teams set to compete on Thursday as Police take on Braves of Customs and Reformers of Prisons play Dunks.
Coupled with Police, Braves and Prisons point tally, Fire’s lead in the division is under serious threat. Police and Braves are yet to beaten this season in three games.
Dunks have three points ahead of the matchup against Reformers.
