Close to 50 international players have declared for the 2017 NBA Draft which takes place in June later this year.

The list of players headlined by France Point Guard Frank Ntilinka includes Ghana Center Amida Brimah of the University of Connecticut.

The 6 foot 11 inch defender is one of the wild card figures in this year’s pool with his build and athletic abilities particularly in protecting the rim.

However, the former Archbishop Carroll player needs to make a huge impression at the Draft Combine to make the cut on Draft Night.

The Accra-born player is an automatic entrant to the Draft as a graduate from the Huskies program and will be hoping to be the second player born in the West African nation to be drafted into the NBA.

In 2016, Ben Bentil made history when he was drafted 51st overall by Boston Celtics after a two year stay at Providence College. Bentil subsequently made his NBA debut for Dallas Mavericks but ended the season with Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA’s Development League.
