Suncity Braves title win in the 2017-2018 GSP Basketball League season has been attributed to teamwork by GSP Public Relations Officer Daniel Addo.
His stated his observation in an interview on basketball program “Courtside” on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports recently.
Braves won its second league title by beating LIR Royals 41-39 while league leaders University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) lost 39-40 to Desert Rabbits in overtime eon the final day of competition.
“I think Braves won the league because they had a team, they had teamwork” Addo said in response to a question about Braves latest win.
The team won the inaugural season of the GSP League in 2015-2016 but lost to UENR in last season’s competition after getting piped by UENR on the final day.
Braves Center Isaac Amponsah ensured the team scooped up the top prize in the individual category as he was named Most Valuable Player of the season.
The 2018-2019 season is set to commence later this year on a yet to be determined start date.
