The latest round of games in the Tema Basketball League has been played out with a host of big results coming through in the young 2018 season.
Francophone Stars were the biggest winners of the round after clinching a 39-27 win over Tema Community 4.
Aside beating the defending league champions, Francophone ended C4’s three game winning run in the current campaign.
In the all Tema showdown, Tema Community 2 ended its losing run by thumping Tema Rockets 47-27 in the opening game.
Heading to the game, neither side had registered a win in the season and occupied the bottom ranks of the standings. With its maiden win in the bag, C2 is set to rise in the standings.
2016 League finalists Ashaiman Lions and Nungua Coldstore continue to maintain their winning runs after clinching wins in the past round.
Lions beat Teshie Rangers 62-56 while Coldstore topped Akatsi Rifles 68-39 ensuring both sides still have four and three wins in as many games respectively.
The league continues this Sunday at Tema’s Community 4 Court.
