Defending Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Champions Braves of Customs have haltered Tudu Magic’s run in the 2018 season in a big way.
Braves hammered Magic 78-31 and Adenta Leopards delivered a 70-51 win over DC Dynamics in games played earlier today at the Prisons Court in Cantonments, Accra.
The Customs-Magic was expected to be a very close affair since neither team had lost a game but Braves dominated the league’s leading team Magic for long stretches in the game.
Missing a boatload of shots did not improve the situation for Magic who have lost for the first time this season and spot a three wins in four games record.
In the final game of the day, Leopards extended its hot form by getting past Dynamics courtesy the 21 point win. The win comes on the back of beating title contender Tema Youth in the previous round.
Leopards set the tone early by leading 19-9 at the end of the third quarter as Dynamics struggled to convert three point shot attempts against a packed Leopards interior defense.
Adenta continued to pile the points ending the first half with a 41-19 lead and maintained the double digit score to clinch its third win.
