2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Champions University of Ghana (UG) has thrown a big dinner party.
The big celebration is in recognition of the team’s latest triumph and took place at high end restaurant De’lish which is located close to Ghana’s premier tertiary institution.
UG beat Accra Technical University (ATU) 41-36 just over a fortnight ago to win a third straight UPAC title and third title overall in the West African nation’s most prestigious competition.
Members of the team including co Most Valuable Player winner Emmanuel Wolff and Forward Gracefield Attoh were present for the occasion.
Young Point Guard Rafiq Brimah was with the team for the special event; Rafiq is related to 2018 NBA Gatorade League All Defensive Team Member and Champion Amida Brimah.
Coach Dr. Baba Samori took time to congratulate the team again for its outstanding achievement before the team heads out to Ethiopia for the 2018 All Africa University Games.
UG won the 2016 edition after clinching its first UPAC title that year with a win over ATU.
