Navy Warriors have registered its debut win in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I season in its fourth game of the campaign.
Warriors beat Ghana Fire Service 56-52 in the sole game played in the division in midweek at the Prisons Court in Cantonments, Accra.
The win is Warriors first in the young season after falling in previous attempts despite putting up good performances in the division.
Heading to the game following a 51-67 loss to Ghana Police in the past round, Warriors managed to channel good plays into a win.
The side had lacked a win to cap its impressive performances thus far in the league including a 36-48 loss to defending league champions Braves of Customs.
On the other hand, Fire Service’s season continues to unfold as the loss to Warriors is the side’s third in as many games.
Warriors are ranked fourth in the standings while Fire remain rooted to the bottom with three fixtures set to be played on Friday and Saturday.
