Ghana Forward Ben Bentil’s struggles getting touches on offense continues at Spanish top tier side RETABET Bilbao Basket.
The former Boston Celtics draftee has had few touches since signing for the team in January this year from French side Champagne Chalons Reims.
Bentil’s scoring numbers have consistently been in low single digits in the aftermath of a couple of games immediately after signing with the club.
In Bilbao’s 78-93 loss to Unicaja, Bentil scored four points after attempting three shots in ten minutes on the floor; the loss is 22nd in 30 games this season.
Unicaja Malaga is ranked sixth in the league while Bilbao fall to 17th in the 18 team league; Malaga plays Las Palmas while Bilbao plays against 13th ranked Blusens Monbus in the next round.
Bentil is the first Ghana born player to be drafted to the NBA and play in the NBA with his debut coming against Atlanta Hawks as a Dallas Mavericks player on a short term contract. He has also played in China.
