Reformers of Prisons have registered its first win at home in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division.
The team beat Fire Service 54-31 at the Prisons Court in Cantonments, Accra in Week 3 of the season; the tie was the first game played at the venue in the campaign.
The win is Prisons second of the season and gives the side two wins in three games this season; Reformers beat Tudu Galaxy 37-34 in a previous game.
Tied on three points with Galaxy prior to the midweek matchup, Reformers jump to the top of the standings with five points after the win.
However, Fire’s record stands at a win and two losses translating to four points which is good enough for second place ahead of upcoming games.
Defending champions Braves of Customs will be inaction tonight at the same venue against Galaxy; the latter was one of only two teams to beat Braves last season.
Ghana Navy beat Braves but is not competing in this season’s championship.
