Teshie Rangers have won their maiden game in the 2018 Tema Basketball League with the win coming in Week 3 earlier tonight.
Rangers beat Tema Community 2 37-31 in the final game of the four game schedule played at the Tema Community 4 Court.
Rangers lost 47-51 to Tema Heat and 43-60 to Teshie Vikings in the two previous weeks before facing Community 2.
Rangers Guard Gabriel Numarworse got off to a great start sinking a trio of three point shots to lead his side to a 17-7 first quarter lead.
Community 2 fought back scoring off good ball movement and from the free throw line; the team trailed 18-21 at half time.
Kofi Attefuah gave Community 2 the game’s lead with a deep three point shot to end the third quarter leading 25-24.
Rangers responded well in the final quarter with Emmanuel Ocquaye tipping in an offensive rebound to give his side a 30-26 lead that was extended from the charity stripe late in the game.
