Tudu Galaxy and Tema Youth lead the Women’s Division and Men’s Division I standings of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) respectively.
Both teams have played more games than all competing teams in the respective divisions and have capitalized on it to claim top positions.
In the Men’s Division, two wins in two games for Tema against Fire Service and DC Dynamics puts them ahead; Tema beat Fire 70-61 and Dynamics 64-55.
Police, Tudu Magic and Prisons follow in orderly fashion with each team winning its sole game played this season.
Dynamics has played in two games but has lost both; DC occupies fifth place ahead of Fire, Navy Warriors and Adenta Leopards who lost in the opening round and yet to play.
Defending Champions occupy the bottom spot since it has been inactive thus far in the season; the team plays its first game tonight against Warriors.
In the Women’s Division, Galaxy’s win and a loss in a couple of games has been enough to put them at the league’s summit with three points.
The team is joined on three points by Reformers of Prisons and Fire Service; a better goal difference puts Galaxy in front.
Police and Braves won their season openers respectively while Dunks occupy the bottom spot after losing in two games.
