Ghana Center Amida Brimah has begun life in Serbia on a good note after nearly registering a double double on his debut.
Brimah scored 12 points and gathered nine rebounds while blocking two shots in just 13 minutes off the bench in his first game for Partizan NIS.
Amida recently signed for the Eastern European side after helping Austin Spurs to win the 2017-2018 NBA Gatorade League title.
His maiden contribution was essential in Partizan’s 90-67 win over Vojvodina in Round One of the Serbian SuperLiga.
Partizan is back in action on Sunday April 22 against FMP Beograd in another home stand for Partizan; FMP won its matchup against Metalac with a 101-74 result.
Brimah is expected to return to the United States once the Serbian postseason ahead of this year’s NBA Summer League.
The Ghanaian defender played for Chicago Bulls in last year’s Summer League after going undrafted in the Draft; he joined San Antonio Spurs in preseason before winding up with Austin.
In the just ended G League campaign, he was the top shot blocker and was named in the Defensive Team of the Year.
