2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Champions University of Ghana (UG) are set to make an appearance on basketball television program “Courtside” tonight.
The celebrated show which airs on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports will host the reigning champions of Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball tournament; the show airs from 20:00-21:00 GMT.
UG’s delegation is expected to be led by Coach Dr. Baba Samori and members of the playing body including third year Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff will be on set.
The program has over the past year had several prominent individuals and teams grace its set; two time Los Angeles Lakers Center Didier Mbenga was recently on the show to share experiences in his playing career.
UG beat Accra Technical University (ATU) 41-36 in the final game of the 2018 edition to clinch its third straight UPAC title.
The third title makes UG the most successful team in the competition’s history and the first to win three Championships in a row.
UG beat ATU in 2016 and Marshalls University College in 2017.
