The past weeks have been fantastic for Ghana Center Amida Brimah and it just gets better following news of his inclusion in the NBA Gatorade League All Defensive Team of the year.
Basketballghana.com can confirm the former University of Connecticut Captain has been voted into the elite company by head coaches and managers in the league.
Brimah starred on the defensive end in Austin Spurs 2017-2018 title winning campaign; Spurs beat Raptors 905 in two straight games to clinch the title.
Amida ended the campaign as the top shot blocker in the league’s regular season after averaging 2.6 blocks per game.
He added 6.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in his debut season after graduating from Connecticut; since winning the title, Brimah has signed to play the Serbian playoffs with Partizan NIS.
He joins the G League group headlined by Defensive Player of the Year Award winner Landry Nnoko of Grand Rapids Drive.
The remaining spots are filled by Kadeem Allen of Main Red Claws, Amile Jefferson of Iowa Wolves and Briante Weber of Sioux Falls Skyforce.
