The 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship Champions University of Ghana (UG) is apparently not satisfied with its glorious achievement.
The team made that clear when members of the playing unit and Coach Dr. Baba Samori made an appearance on Courtside Basketball show.
The television program which airs on Ghana channel hosted the winning contingent following its 41-36 win over Accra Technical University (ATU) in this year’s edition.
Beating ATU ensured UG clinched a third straight UPAC title and third overall to become the most successful team in the competition’s history.
Despite the unprecedented achievement, UG intends not to rest on its laurels beginning with capturing a second All Africa University Games Basketball title.
UG won the 2016 FASU Games gold medal in South Africa after clinching its first UPAC title beating Accra Technical in the final.
This year’s FASU Games will be held in Ethiopia in July and the team will make the trip aiming for a second African medal.
On the local front, UG plans to win more UPAC titles.
