Two technical universities will compete for a spot in the final game of the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
Takoradi Technical University (TTU) is up against Accra Technical University (ATU) in the second and final semifinal game of the day.
TTU and ATU renew their rivalry from the Polytechnics sect games and previous matchups in the UPAC Championship from previous editions.
Accra Technical is a two time winner of the UPAC Championship and is aiming to be the first team to win three UPAC titles.
A matchup against University of Ghana (UG) is on the card for the winning side in the upcoming game following host UG’s 66-48 win over University of Education-UEW.
Takoradi Technical has bounced back from a disappointing 2017 campaign where the team failed to qualify to the knockout phase.
The team qualified second from Group A behind UG after winning two of three games including a 36-35 win over Kwame Nkruma University of Science and Technology.
Winning this year’s edition will be TTU’s maiden UPAC title.
