Ghana Center Amida Brimah is an NBA Gatorade League Champion and on Friday April 13, he will join his teammates at Austin Spurs for the Championship Celebration.
The celebration comes after Spurs clinched this season’s G League title beating Raptors 905 twice in the finals series.
Raptors were attempting a second straight title win after clinching the 2017 Championship but the team failed to score 100 points in both losses as Austin’s strong defense stifled the Canadian side.
Brimah and Matt Costello combined effectively to force 905 to shoot under 50%; their stellar defense gave more room for offensive players like Guard Derrick White and Forward Darun Hiliardterrorize Raptors on offense.
Shooting Guard Nick Johnson was named Finals Most Valuable Player after leading all scorers in the decisive Game Two.
This is Brimah’s maiden season in the league and he captured the title after leading the regular season in blocked shots.
The foot 11 inch Center won in his debut season at University of Connecticut.
