2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship quarterfinalist Sunyani Technical University (STU) has moved up a spot in the GSP Basketball League standings.
Ahead of the UPAC knockout games which take place from April 12-14 at the University of Ghana in Accra, STU is ranked fifth.
STU has been drawn in Group B alongside two time UPAC winners Accra Technical University, University of Education-Winneba and All Nations University College.
STU has moved up from sixth place following the conclusion of Week 11 and Week 12 games this past weekend at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani.
STU had a mixed bag of fortune in the back to back league schedule recording a 61-37 win over LIR Royals but lost 34-41 to Suncity Braves.
Beating the tertiary side keeps Braves atop the standings with 22 points from 10 wins and two losses; Desert Rabbits and University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) are tied on points with Braves.
