Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) Male Basketball Team enters unchartered territory later this week with the team set to play in the UPAC Basketball Championship knockout stage.

This is GTUC’s debut appearance at this stage of Ghana’s most celebrated tertiary basketball competition which takes place from April 12-14 at University of Ghana (UG).

GTUC is in Group A alongside host and defending champions UG, Takoradi Technical University and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

After topping highly rated Marshalls University College to win Zone 7, the Accra-based institution prepped up for the big dance by competing in this year’s PUSAG.

The Private Universities Sports Association Games recently ended with Radford University College clinching gold in the Men’s Basketball competition.

Radford beat Wisconsin International University College 35-25 to win the competition with GTUC placing third edging Regent University College in the bronze medal game.

Two semifinal spots are up for grabs in Group A and Group B which has Accra Technical University, All Nations University College, University of Education-Winneba and Sunyani Technical University.
