Teshie Vikings and Francophone Stars are new to the Tema Basketball League since both teams will be competing in the burgeoning league for the first time.
The league started in 2016 and both teams are set to play in the third year; the 2018 season tips off on April 8 at Tema’s Community 4 Court.
However, Vikings and Francophone Stars will be thrown into the firing line straight off the jump as both teams are playing in the opening week.
Vikings and Francophone have been paired against each other in the opening game this season with the game set to tip off at 15:30 GMT.
Vikings Club has strong ties to league side Teshie Rangers per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com; Rangers featured in the league last season.
Former Tema Heat Point Guard Kingsley Quist has signed up to the club this season; Quist’s former side Heat will be in action against Rangers.
2017 Finalist Ashaiman Lions 2017 Champions Community 4 will play on Sunday.
