The 2018 Tema Basketball League season tips off Sunday, April 8 at Tema’s Community 4 Court with a quartet of games in the opening round.
This season’s campaign is expected to run from the upcoming weekend to September 16 before the postseason commences.
Games will be staged at the Community 4 Court which is known in Ghana’s basketball circle as the Chinese Court.
The court has held previous editions of the league; the upcoming season is the third in league history since the maiden season took place in 2016.
Defending champions Community 4 will be involved in the opening round when the side takes on Akatsi Rifles in the final game of the round.
The tie is a rematch of a friendly encounter played in Akatsi this past weekend as part of the Rifles Reunion Fun Games; C4 won 64-58.
New entrants Vikings and Francophone Stars play in the first game at 15:30 GMT before Tema Heat takes on Teshie Rangers.
2017 Finalist Ashaiman Lions play against Tema Community 2 in the third game.
