This year’s Private Universities Sports Association Games (PUSAG) is officially open following the opening ceremony held a few hours ago.
This means competition can begin in the multi sports discipline annual event taking place at the Paa Joe Stadium in Kumasi.
The basketball competition is perhaps the most looked out for event in the games and Regent University College of Science and Technology are gearing up for a big run.
Captain Gabriel Ashaley stated this in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com prior to the competition which ends on Friday April 6.
The team recently participated in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship and impressed in its debut appearance despite failing to progress beyond the preliminary stage.
Ashaley strongly believes the experience gathered from competing in UPAC will help his side perform well in this week’s competition.
Regent competed in UPAC’s Zone 3 against University of Education-Winneba (UEW), Cape-Coast Technical University and KAAF University College. UEW qualified from the Zone.
Marshalls University College are defending champions of PUSAG.
