Two time Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship winners University of Ghana (UG) is set to feature in this year’s competition.

UG will host Pentecost University College, Radford University College and Regional Maritime University College on Thursday March 29 in Zone 8.

Thursday’s game concludes the preliminary stage of this year’s competition with the national stage set to be played out from April 12-14 at the UG.

Ahead of the games, Pentecost University College is betting on its maturity to beat the odds and progress beyond the zone.

The Sowutuom-based institution has not made it out of the zonal stage in previous editions but believe this year will be different.

In an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com, Center Julius Oduro stated, “We’ve matured playing the UPAC Championship and we are hoping to see great things both as a team and as an individual”.

He also opined his side has a perfect mix of old and new players to compete for a place in the next stage.
