After losing back to back games against Memphis Hustle and Oklahoma City Blue, Austin Spurs have ended the NBA Gatorade League regular season with a win.
The team beat South Bay Lakers 140-128in the final game of the 2017-2018 regular season before the postseason starts on March 27.
Ghana Center Amida Brimah registered six points, three blocks, 11 rebounds and an assist in 24 minutes off the bench in the win.
Brimah ends the season as the league’s best shot blocker averaging 2.6 blocks per game in his first campaign in the league since graduating from University of Connecticut.
Throughout the campaign, 6 foot 11 inch player has been a consistent force on the defensive side and made major progress on the opposite end.
His improved play has entertained reported interest from Cleveland Cavaliers who needed a strong defender in the wake of a rash of injuries.
Brimah’s play has inspired Spurs to clinch top spot in the Western Conference and earn a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
