University of Professional Studies (UPSA) has missed several chances to progress from the preliminary stage of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship in previous editions.
However, since 2015, the team has not progressed beyond the primary stage of the competition but on Saturday March 24 at the University of Ghana, the team has another chance to ensure progression.
UPSA is in Zone 7 and will be in action against Marshalls University College, Islamic University College and Ghana Technology University College.
The team has a tough task ahead to make the National Stage roster of the competition as Marshalls placed second in last year’s final.
Islamic ranked high in last year’s Private Universities Sports Association Games and Ghana Technology has an improved group for this year despite losing Point Guard Kingsley Quist.
UPSA did not compete in the 2016 edition after pulling out at the last turn and exited the competition early in the 2017 edition as University of Ghana qualified from the zone.
With competition in Zone 7 a few hours away, Team UPSA has the chance to feature in the next stage.
