Qualifying games to the National competition of the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship in Zone 6 takes place tomorrow.

Accra Technical University (ATU) hosts Wisconsin International University College, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and Valley View University in the zone on March 22.

Ahead of the qualifiers, Wisconsin Coach Albert Djan has been impressed with his team’s approach to the games after signing up a few weeks ago.

In an interview with Basketballghana.com, the former GIMPA Coach stated his players are “focused” on the task at hand.

“Am new to the team but I like the way the guys are responding to training, they are very disciplined and determined to train…I will make sure things go in the right direction” he said.

Djan has a direct agenda for tomorrow’s games which is to clinch top spot in the zone and secure qualification to the next round; Wisconsin is the only side in the zone yet to make it beyond the preliminary stage.

The next phase of the competition takes place from April 22-24 in Accra.
