RETABET Bilbao Basket has ended its run of losing games by beating Real Betis 91-79 in Spain’s Liga Endesa earlier tonight.
Ghana Forward and newly signed Forward Ben Bentil scored six points for Bilbao in the 12 point win which improves his team’s record to seven wins and 16 losses.
Bentil added two rebounds and an assist in 20 minutes as a starter since moving from French side Champagne Chalons-Reims a few weeks back.
Despite starting the game, the former Dallas Mavericks player did not have the same impact like in the previous game against Valencia where he scored 13 points and gathered eight rebounds.
The win pushes Bilbao to 14th two places up from the 16th spot it occupied before the game. Alex Mumbru came off the bench to pace RETABET in scoring with 14 points with starters Jonathan Tabu, Dejan Todorovic and Pere Tomas scoring 11, 13 and 10 respectively.
Bentil will have the chance to get better as Bilbao plays Zaragoza next on Sunday March 25.
