Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has clinched its first win of the 2018 UPAC Zone 5 following a 55-14 win over Garden City University College.
The win comes on the back of a 13-39 loss to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the opening games.
The host team did not show up for the contest and played a hand in the loss committing several turnovers and failing to take its chances.
Garden City looked overwhelmed by the matchup trailing 9-40 midway through the third quarter and its first loss was confirmed way before the final whistle sounded.
Garden City plays its final game of the zone against KNUST and need to win the game to stand a chance of making it to the next stage.
Only zone winners qualify to compete in the national championship in Accra next month. However, host KsTU, has to wait for the game’s outcome as the win over Garden is the team’s final game of the zone.
