Sunyani Technical University (STU) and University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) will face in the final game of this year’s UPAC Basketball Championship.
The much anticipated game will determine which team makes it the next stage of the competition as both sides have won twice in the competition.
Host STU beat Kintampo College of Health and Catholic University College, Ghana 50-14 and 33-17 respectively in the previous rounds.
Defending champions UENR recorded similar big wins beating Catholic University 34-10 and Kintampo 51-10 to clinch a two game winning streak.
The winner of the tie between the teams determines which team tops the zone and qualifies to play in the quarters in Accra next month.
The winning team joins All Nations University College, Takoradi Technical University and University of Education-Winneba (UEW) in the quarterfinal.
The final round has Kintampo up against Catholic in a game that has both teams fighting for a maiden win in this year’s Championship.
UENR has won the past two zonal competitions.
