With the final preseason competition-Battle Grounds Tournament-out of the way, Tema Community 4’s 2017 league title is back on the line.
A whole new chapter is about to be written but for Ashaiman Lions, the same tune could play out as the team continues to battle its demons in finals.
Up until winning the first preseason competition-the Campaign Tournament-in December last year, Ashaiman had consistently come up short in Finals.
The team has played for two straight league titles but lost both to Nungua Coldstore and Community 4 on top near misses in other competitions like 2015’s Rush Community League.
Coldstore denied Lions another title as Nungua beat Ashaiman 44-36 in Battle Grounds final game this past weekend.
With few days to the reported start of a new campaign, Lions still have work to do to cure its ills.
