Sunday April 1 has been set to mark the start of the 2018 Tema Basketball League season Basketballghana.com gathers.
The reported start date comes on the back of two preseason competitions which had Ashaiman Lions and Nungua Coldstore win titles.
Lions won the Campaign Tournament in December last year a few weeks after the conclusion of the 2017 season.
The team missed out on a second preseason title after falling 36-44 to Coldstore in the Battle Grounds Tournament which ended over the past weekend.
A lot of buzz has been generated ahead of the new season and should the campaign commence in the next month, it will be staged against the backdrop of an intense preseason.
Both tournaments were competitive and even had defending league champions Tema Community 4 place third following a nail biting 32-31 overtime win over Teshie Rangers.
Last season, the league roster increased from seven to 14 but with a few weeks to go, there has been no word on the number of teams to compete in the upcoming season.
