Ghana Forward is getting acclimated to his new surroundings and in his second game for new club RETABET Bilbao Basket, he is showing exactly that.
Bentil scored two points in his debut game but recovered to score 13 points in Bilbao’s 67-87 loss to third placed Valencia in Spain’s Endesa League.
Bentil moved to the starting lineup for this game after coming off the bench in his first outing with Bilbao after moving from France.
The Sekondi-born Combo Forward played 27 minutes in the loss and added eight rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block to his point tally.
The former Boston Celtics draft pick was just two rebounds shy of recording his first double- double in the Spanish League.
His point tally was tied as Bilbao’s best with Jonathan Tabu also recording 13 points for Bilbao who have lost its 16th game of the season.
The result means Bilbao stays put in 16th place in the 18 team standings while Valencia are third.
