The battle at the top in the Global Sporting Platform (GSP) 2017-2018 Basketball League season continues to unfold.
Following the conclusion of Week 7 games, LIR Royals have been dislodged by Suncity Braves after both teams fared oppositely.
Royals lost 19-33 to Desert Rabbits while 2015-2016 League Champions Braves absolutely obliterated Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints 68-14.
Royals, Braves and defending champions University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) were tied on 11 points before Saturday’s games.
With Braves and UENR winning, the two sides occupy the first and second spots respectively with Royals dropping to third.
UENR piped Sunyani Technical University 18-16 in a low scoring game between two tertiary institutions who face off today in a reverse fixture.
West Siders forfeited its tie for the second time in as many weeks; this time, the team failed to show up against Barracks Scorpions.
All games played in Week 7 will be repeated in Week 8 which takes place today at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani.
