KAAF (blue) against CCTU
KAAF University College has failed to recover from an opening game loss to Regent University College of Science and Technology.

The Kasoa-based institution is competing in the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship Zone 3.

Zonal games are taking place at the University of Education-Winneba (UEW) with a spot in the quarterfinals up for grabs.

After losing to Regent, KAAF lost 33-46 to host UEW in the second game to all but end its hopes of making it to the next stage.

UEW looked in control of the tie from the blast with experienced Point Guard Jeffrey Djimatey dictating matters for the homeside.

However with an early exit on the cards, KAAF battled hard but couldn’t find its range late on in the game to fall for the second time.

Cape-Coast Technical University lost in the opening game 37-55 to UEW and need to beat Regent in the second game to stand a chance of making it through.

The knockout stage will be held in Accra in April.

  1. The most indisciplined team i have ever watched. They had absolutely no respect for referees and officials. Was suprised how they manage to ecape alot of technical and flagurant fouls. They must not be intived to the next edition.
